Teen Titans: A League of thier Own pt. 5

It was decided that the three teams would be as followed: Team A, consisting of Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Starfire, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, Speedy, Green Arrow, Wonder Girl and Animal man would go to the Secret Society's old base; they had the most because they felt there was a better chance of an ambush there. Team B, which included Superman, Aquaman, Aqualad, Beast Boy, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter would go underwater, given that all would be able to breath, and check the remains of the H. I. V. E. academy. And finally team C, Wonder Woman, Flash, Kid Flash, Firestorm, Raven and Zatanna would go to Paris and search the old Brotherhood base.

The groups were all assembled in the hanger of the Watchtower. It looked like a futuristic version of any ordinary airplane hangar, with an air shield over the giant door to space, which was open because the craft they were taking was being prepped to take off. Teams B would take the T-Ship, which was called up via Cyborg's auto-control system he built into it. Team C would be transported in via Zatanna's teleportation spell. And Team A, having the most people, would take one of the League's Javelin jets.
The Javelin was a plane designed from a mix of Thanagarian and Amazonian technology; Batman would later say how the cloaking tech is based off of Wonder Woman's old plane she used to ride in. It's basic outline was fairly similar to a regular jet, only it seemed larger enough to be able to hold more people. It's color was chrome with pattered striped of blue around the wings, the body and the nose. Both the nose of it and the wings were broad. On the ends of the wings were changeable engines that could point up or forward for landing or increasing speed.

As other prepared, Cyborg looked at the Javelin and gave a low whistle before saying "She sure is a beauty."

"I'll say she is." Green Lantern said, standing next to him. "All it took was my know-how with engines, this ring," he held up his hand to indicate it, "Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl's tech and Batman's brains. She's my pride and joy."

"Sure makes the T-Ship look like a toy." Cy said, pointing to it.

"You still did a pretty good job with her." GL said. "If you want, once this is all done, we can swap ideas on some upgrades."

"Sure thing." Cy said, both shaking hands at this. "You take care of my baby now."

"Same to you." He said back.

As this happened, Superman and Wonder Woman were talking with Supergirl and Wonder Girl about them not being on the same teams for their missions.

"I know this is our first mission not with each other." Wonder Woman said to her sister
"I know, sister. But I feel ready for this." She said.

"And I have faith that you are." She aid back, smiling. "Remember your traning and go with the grace of Athena."

"And you as well." She said before hugging her sister, which she hugged back.

Superman had been given the rundown of dos and don'ts to his younger cousin.

"And remember," he continued "make sure to keep your strength under control unless otherwise. And listen to Wonder Woman while she's in charge. And make sure you don't..."

"Use heat vision unless a last resort or the guy can take it." She said, with an annoyed down. "I got it, cousin. Sheesh. You're as bad as ma and pa."

He gave a chuckle, knowing it was true, before holding her shoulder and saying "Just be careful, alright."

"I promise." She said, holding up her pinky for him to hold.

He grabbed it with his and the two gave a final shake and smile on it.

Robin and Starfire was talking with Beast Boy and Raven while this went on.

"You're sure you're both ok with this?" he asked.

"Hey, no worries, Robin." BB said. "We've got the Justice League on our side. I think we can relax a bit."

"It will still feel very difficult not having you both along for this mission." Starfire said.

"Try not to worry too much Star." Raven said. "We've gone on separate missions before. We'll be fine."

"Just watch yourselves while your down there." Robin said. "I have an odd feeling about all of this."

"You're sure it's just the mission and not...well..." BB said, looking over to Batman, who was talking with Flash and Aquaman.

Robin saw him too before looking back to BB and saying "That doesn't matter now. What matters is stopping this Injustice League from whatever they're planning."

"If you say so." Raven said, giving skeptical glances to Starfire and BB.

Suddenly Batgirl came over to them and said "We're ready."

"Alright." Robin said, looking back to Raven and BB. "Take care of yourselves."

They both nodded before running over to their teams. Over by the T-Ship, Superman and Grren Lantern stood waiting while Beast Boy, Martian Manhunter, AquaMan and Aqualad occupied four of the five seats in the ship; Superman and Green Lantern being able to fly through space and towards the sea. Raven stood by with Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Firestorm, Flash and Kid Flash, all standing and waiting to hear confirmation from the others. In the Javelin, there were four main seats at the front of the ship and two benches in the back portion of it. Batman, Green Arrow, Animal Man and Hawkgirl took those seats while the Titans and Wonder Girl sat on the benches and buckles up. Robin and Batgirl sat together with Speedy next to her on one side, while Cyborg Wonder Girl and Starfire sat on the other.

Superman activated his ear-communicator all the League members had, saying "Checking communications. All clear?"

"Clear." Each other members said, starting with Batman and ending with Firestorm.

Robin pulled out his communicator and said "All clear here?"

Each of the Titans answered with an "affirmative", "clear", or "all good."

"Alright teams," Batman said "Keep in contact with your teams mates at all times. J'onn will keep a mental-connection up for Team B. Anything happens, contact one other team and they'll try to send support as best they can. We meet back once we're done."

With that all the teams began to leave. The Javelin was the first to exit the hangar and starting flying down towards their destination, followed by the T-Ship which started flying a different direction. Once she was an agree nod from all her teammates, Zatanna stood at the front of the group.

"Siarp ni esab doorehtorb ot tropsnart!"

With that they all disappeared in a puff of white smoke, and the Watchtower was empty.

As the Javelin flew down, Robin started chuckling to himself.

Batgirl noticed this and giggled, saying "What is it?"
  
"I just remembered....there was a time when I tried to take the Bat-wing out for a joy ride. Back when I first started training." He chuckled a bit more before continuing. "I had no idea what I was doing and ended up busting it without even taking off."

She suddenly gave a happy gasp and said "So that's what happened to the giant penny." She started laughing at this. "I thought I just Had that big dent in it."

"Yeah. I know." He said, laughing at this too.

As they laughed at this Starfire took notice again, giving another concerned look. Unlike last time however her look was noticed by Hawkgirl, who had glanced back in time to see this.

In time they started to reach their destination. The area of the Everglades was a thick mass of swamp with barley anywhere for the Javelin to land. Lucky Batman managed to find a decent enough clearing to land. Once they did, all the heroes piled out of the Javelin, with Batman coming out last.

Cyborg took a whiff of the area and said "Whew. I guess it's low-tide here 24/7."

Batman looked to all of the heroes and said "We'll split into separate groups."

"Right." Robin said

Suddenly both he and Robin said "Starfire, you and..."

They both stopped when they realized what they did, getting awkward looks from the others. Robin then decided to silently stand down, figuring Batman would argue he's in charge of the team.

"Starfire," Batman continued "you and Hawkgirl will patrol from the air. Green Arrow. Speedy. Search the perimeter for anything. Animal Man, Wonder Girl, guard the ship. The rest of us will head for the base."

The all nodded before the group, except for Wonder Girl and Animal Man, went their separate ways.

Team B had reached there point over the ocean where they put the T-ship on hover mode. Superman stood hovering to the side waiting for all those who rode in the ship to be ready. Once they all indicated they were all dived in, while Superman and Green Lantern flew in.

Lantern put an air shield around his body so he could still breath underwater. Beast Boy took the form of a swordfish. The Manhunter shifted his body into an weird alien creature. It had webbed hands and feet, a long tail with a fin on the end, a dolphin-like snout with small teeth, and two wide black eyes.

(Checking mind link) Superman said, only in his mind.

(Mind link established) J'onn said, so all could hear.

(Oh cool) Beast Boy said (I can hear you guys inside my head)

(Yeah) Aqualad added (Feels a lot different than just talking to fish)

(Thank J'onn's mind link for that) Aquaman said (It'll keep us in contact if we need to spread out.)

"But for now I think we're good with our god given lips." Lantern stated "All the mind talking stuff gives me a headache at the end of the day."

"Apologies." J'onn said.

"Just stay sharp people." Superman said "We don't what's out there. So keep on your toes."

"Those of us that have toes." BB said, making at least GL and J'onn chuckle

With that they kept swimming onward.

As they did, none of them saw something large and black following behind. It wasn't close enough to be noticed, but it knew to be far enough so it could still keep up with them.

Team C appeared, in a puff of smoke, outside the doorway to the Brotherhood's old base in Paris. The doors were crumbled and broken, making them seem like they fell to still block the entrance.

"We made it." Flash said.

"Good thing to." Firestorm said, looking around. "Not much for traveling with magic. Makes me fell, I don't know, not all there."

"You get used to it." Zatanna reassured him.

Wonder Woman looked at the doorway, then to Raven and asked "This is it,right?"

"It is." She said. "We need to be careful thought. No telling what could be in there waiting for us."

Wonder Woman nodded and looked to the others. "You heard her, people. We stick close and watch our backs."

They all nodded in agreement before walking towards the doors. True they were fallen over and blocking the entrance, but both Wonder Woman and Supergirl merely picked each one up with both hands and tossed them aside.

"Whoa...." Kid Flash said, seeing this.

"Shall we?" Supergil asked, gesturing for them to enter with her.

With that, they were through the entrance and making their way deeper into the base.

As Starfire and Hawkgirl flew over the swampy forest of the area, scanning the area blew befrore glancing up now-and-then, Hawkgirl flew closer to Sarfire in order to pseak with her.

"Hey, Tameranean." She said, startling Starfire for a moment. "So what's the story with you and Robin?"

"Well..." Sarfire began "recently he and I have begun the 'relation'. But..."

"But now he's back with Batgirl, and you're afraid he's going to leave you for her."
Hawkgirl said. "Sheesh. And I thought Tameran was a planet of proud warriors."

"What?" Starfire asked. "But...that is not..."

"Listen, kid, if you want to make sure he still cares about you, you should just ask. Otherwise you'll just be sitting on the sidelines while he's being swayed away by her. Keep that in mind before you go back to looking and sighing at them laughing again."

With that Hawkgirl flew farther ahead, while Starfire gave a confused yet pondering look.
Above them, something was watching their moves, waiting for the right moment to strike.

Speedy and Green Arrow were trudging around the woods, keeping their bows in hand and checking every which-way possible.

"Just like old times, huh?" Green Arrow asked, as they kept walking.

"Sure. Minus doing this on a rooftop and watching for supervillains, not grocery store crooks."

Arrow chuckled before saying "Good to see being off of your own team hasn't changed you that much."

"Hey, I might surprise you." He said. "Could be me making the 'once in a lifetime shot' for once."

"Knowing you, that might be the case." He said as they went further and further.

In the trees something kept a close watch on them, waiting for the signal to strike.

Wonder Girl and Animal Man sat waiting by the Javelin, talking to pass the time.

"So you and the Cyborg kid, huh?" he asked her, with a friendly smirk on his face.

"Huh?" she perked up before blushing. "Oh...well....I don't know. Maybe."

"Hey, hey. It's alright." He said, walking over and putting a hand on her shoulder. "These thing scan take time. It was the same way with me and my Ellen. Just make sure you and he are on the same page before you do something stupid, like trying to get his attention through some pointless plan....man I was I dumb."

She giggled at this before saying "Very well, Animal Man. I will try. Thank you."

"That a girl." He finished, patting her back.

Something in the trees nearby was watching them close. The others were all in place, it was just a matter of waiting for the signal.

Robin, Batman, Batgirl and Cyborg had finally reached the old base of the Secret Society. It was a large dome-like structure that sat flat on the murky ground. It was black with two large yellow glass window in the front of it, and a doorway that was mangled and broken. From where they stood, the base looked almost like the broken remains of a metallic skull to the heroes.

"Looks pretty cozy..." Batgirl said "...if you're count Dracula."

"Come on." Batman said, as he kept walking towards it.

Once they were close, Cyborg used his strength to clear the broken doorway. He activated one of his shoulder-lights and scanned the inside. Nothing seemed odd so they went further in. They went down and broken old hallway until they found their way into what must've been the main room.

It was wide and open with a high raised ceiling as part of the dome construct. Towards the end of it, where the large windows could be seen, was a circular stand that was used for people to sit in. there were two main rows that met at a large podium in the middle, most likely where the leader sat. To the further right side were computers all aligned on the walls. Upon further investigating, Batman could tell they were all different types of machines, some almost similar to the ones on the Watchtower.

"Scanners, analyzers, monitors." Cy said, looking over half of the stuff. "Man, this Secret Society must've had one deep pocket to afford all of this."

Robin went over and tried to see if he could power any of the machines back up. Nothing.

"The main power source must be down." Batgirl said.

"After so many years," Robin began "not a surprise." He looked to Batman who looked like he was going to say something but he went first saying "I'll take Cyborg down to the generator room and try to boot things up. Then you'll be able to access the computers and try to find any information."

Batman gave him a slight glare, knowing he knew that's what he would say, before nodding and letting the two go off. Batgirl watched as the two went off and looked back to Batman, who only turned and pulled out a small flashlight from his belt to look around more.

As Robin and Cyborg found the stairway down to the engine room, Cy looked to Robin and said "You know, the tension between you two ani't exactly subtle." Robin didn't say anything. "What happened between...?"

"It's not important." Robin suddenly said. "Let's just get this over with."

Cy gave an odd glace to him before continuing down towards the generator.

As Batman and Batgirl were looking around I the main room of the base, she looked over to him and was about to say something.

"I know what you're going to say." He suddenly said. "and the answer is no. This matter is too important for that now."

"But I really think it's best." She said. "I know you two didn't exactly get off on the right foot when he left, but I think for everyone's sake you should at least try to make amends."

Batman looked over his shoulder at her before saying "I think he and I would at least agree to save that for later." After that he went back to searching for any clues.

Batgirl lowered her head and held her arm before saying "I still didn't tell him you know. About...well...."

"And good that you didn't." he said, stopping but not looking back to her. "It's not your place to tell him. It's mine."

"So when will...?"

"When he's ready." With that he went back to his investigating.

Team B finally reached the remains of the H.I.V.E. old base. Most of it was in ruins, the large dome structure of it smashed to the ground over the bottom support structure, but it still looked intact enough to hold something of interest.

"Alright people," Superman began "spread out and look for anything"

With that they split into pairs; Aqualad and Beast Boy, Aquaman and the Manhunter, and Superman and Green Lantern.

Lantern started scanning the area he and Superman went over to with his ring, it creating a beam of light wherever he pointed it.

"Ring's not getting anything yet." he said

"We'll keep looking." Superman retorted before continuing to search with his X-ray vision, finding nothing still.

Aquaman and Martian Manhunter went searching around another area of debris. There came a point where Aquaman had to life a large piece of metal up so they could both check underneath, finding nothing and moving on.

Beast Boy and Aqualad checked around the remains of the dome structure, finding an entrance point and swimming in. They found themselves swimming through the drowned hallways of the base, bringing back memories of when they both had to destroy it in order to stop Brother Blood from causing tidal waves.

They found their way into what looked like one of the lunch halls of the base.

"Starting to think we're not going to find anything here." Aqualad said, looking over some of the wreckage.

"Hey no sweat, Aqua-dude." BB said, as he swam further on towards one of the doors "I'm sure the others will..."

Before he could finish, the head of an oversized great white shark suddenly jumped out from the door and tried to snap at him. BB gave one of his scared sequels before backing away from it. Aqualad herd this and joined him in time to see the shark suddenly rip the door open fully. Once they could see it better, the two saw this was not an ordinary shark.

It stood eight feet tall and  had a humid body with large arms and legs, both with razor claws on them. It's fin went all the way from the top of its head to the very lower point of its back. It wore a black diving suit-like costume that exposed its arms and legs.

"King Shark!" Aqualad said, knowing who this monster was.

He smiled with its great big razor teeth before trying to sink them into Aqualad. He managed to dive out of the way just in time for Beast Boy to turn into an octopus and wrap himself around his mouth. They both struggled before King Shark managed to grab pull him off and toss him into nearby wall. He turned his attention to Aqualad, who threw one of the tables at him. He knocked it away and swam straight for him, only for BB, who was recovered, to slam into him in the form of a giant squid and continuing to struggle with him.  

(We've got trouble) Aqualad said, using the mind link to call on the others.

All the League members had regroup and were outside of the dome structure when they heard this.

(Where are you?) Aquaman asked (We'll be right...)

"LOOK OUT!" Lantern said as he went in front of them and made a barrier with his ring.

He managed to shield all of them from an oncoming torpedo blasts. He drop the shield so the others could see what attacked them.  They looked to see the growing form of Black Manta's ship as it came closer. Once it was close enough it stopped and a large door on the underside of it opened, making a platform lower. Standing on set platform was Black Manta, who had some sort of stick-weapon in is hand, Trident, with his namesake weapon in hand, and a force of over thirty of Manta's men.

"Manta!" Aquaman declared, seeing his old foe.

"Good to see your eyes still work, king of Atlantis." Manta said as he and the others prepared to fight. "I'll enjoying plucking them from your skull."

"Not a problem." Lantern said, readying his ring. "One good blast will to the engines will.."

He was stopped when something was fired over his head. It was a beam of yellow energy, and just from the sight of it Lantern knew who it as. Floating down towards Manta's side was a dark-purple skinned alien. He looked mostly human except for his swollen looking cranium. His suit was similar to Lantern's only this one was yellow, and with a different symbol that matched his ring that he had on it.

"Hello, Jordan." Sinestro

Lantern's eyes narrowed at his old foe. This fight would be harder now, even with Superman there. Suddenly Manta gave sounded the charge and all of his forces, including Sinestro, headed straight for the heroes. They in turn charged towards them.

The Team in Paris had finally found their way to the arena room of the Brotherhood base. They looked around, seeing some of the damage left from the great fight that took place before against the Titans and the Brotherhood.

"Sure brings back memories." Kid Flash said. "Beating down bad guys, hooking up with Jynx, trying to avoid being smashed, clobbered and or blown to bits."

"Oh how fun." Supergirl said sarcastically

"Let's spread out and search the place." Flash said.

Wonder Woman nodded and everyone split up. Raven and Supergirl flew up towards the platform high above. Firestorm and Wonder Woman flew towards one of the lower platforms and searched. Zatanna made a ball of light come from her hands as she searched with Flash over by one of the doorways, while Kid Flash found himself zipping over to one of the doors on the opposite side. He looked around one of the more darker areas and had trouble seeing.

He looked back to the others and called out "I don't think we're gonna find anything here."

Just as he finished a pair of yellow eyes peered at him from the shadows behind. A skinny purple colored hand reached out and grabbed Kid Flash by the head. He screamed as he was hoisted up and felt his energy being drained by the mere touch of this person. All the others looked and saw as the thing holding Kid Flash stepped out of the shadows.  It's body was purple and seemed almost shriveled in places. It had a human figure but stood at least six feet tall. It's head was bald and had two yellow human-like eyes. As the energy it gained from Kid Flash went into its body, the creature's skin seemed to glow a pattern of white around it's arms, body and neck and legs. As it did it seemed to grow in muscle and strength.

"Parasite!" Firestorm said, seeing who it was.

He flew over closer to Flash and Wonder Woman, who were closer to where both Parasite and Kid Flash were.

Parasite gave a horrible smile and laughed before saying "I love the flavor of super speed. Gives me that extra charge I need in the morning."

"Let him go!" Flash demanded, indicating Kid Flash.

"Sure thing." He said before tossing Kid Flash at him.

He landed right into Flash's arms, making him fall over from the heavy throw. Suddenly Parasite zipped towards Wonder Woman, aiming to drain her too. She jumped away in time and landed a kick to his back, making him fall over. Suddenly she was hit from behind by a bolt of light energy. She fell to the ground before Firestorm managed to help her up. They, and Raven and the others, looked to see a familiar foe of the Titans step out.

"Doctor Light!" Raven said.

He grinned before firing more bolts of light blasts at them.  Wonder Woman held up her arms in defense and the blasts deflected off of her bracelets. While this happened, Firestorm noticed the Parasite getting up and running fast towards him. He held up his hands blasted him with his radiation beams. Parasite zipped back-and-forth and side-to-side to avoid being hit.

Seeing this Zatanna held up her hands ready to cast a spell.

She began by saying "thigl rot..." but she was stopped when a bolt of magical energy was fired.

It landed near her, making debris from the blast fly up and knock her down. From up in the air, Raven and Supergirl looked to see who fired it. Standing on the highest platform was the one they recognized as Abra Kadabra. He had a pointed beard and mustache on his face and wore tightly bound baggy clothes, a white shirt and black pants and shoes.

"Now we can't you stop the spoiling the show, can we?" he said before turning his attention to the two girls in the air.

He started to fire more magic at them, making Raven create a shadow shield around her and Supergirl.

Below on the ground, Flash and Kid Flash were starting to pick themselves up.

"You ok?" Flash asked his nephew.

"Yeah," he said, shaking his head and looking to his uncle "I...WATCH IT!"

He suddenly zipped him and his uncle away in time before being crushed by  blow from Cinderblock. Once they were safe, both looked to see him looking towards them and roaring. They both nodded to each other before running towards the rock monster.

Raven kept her shield up long enough before blasting a bolt of her magic at Abra Kadabra. He made his own shield out of a green-colored magic and blocked it. This gave Supergirl time to use her heat vision, hitting the shield and making him duck away when it broke. Both of them flew down before he could pick himself up.

"I may not be much for magic," Supergirl said "but me and my friend here can take you on."

"Don't think I'm a fool enough not to know that." Kadabra said, with a smile slowly growing across his face. "That's why I didn't come alone."

Suddenly something crashed through the roof at an incredible speed and knocked Supergirl away. She soon found herself pinned against a wall by something that was all too familiar to her. He had a similar costume to Superman, only the colors were much more darker and had a backward S on it. His skin was grey and his face was broken looking and disfigured. It looked like a poorly made copy of the man of steel.

"Bizzaro am here to save the day." He said to Supergirl, who's eyes widened at the sight of him.

Raven looked at this and then back to Kadabra, who had picked himself up and readied himself for a fight. She narrowed her eyes and prepared herself, her hands glowing with her magic as she did.

Speedy and Green Arrow finally stopped at a point in the swamp where they gave one final look around.

"You know what's different about this place?" Speedy asked.

"What's that?"

"Nothing. It looks exactly the same as every other part of this swamp."

Green Arrow nodded saying "Maybe we should get back to..."

Suddenly something came flying out of the trees nearby and towards them. Both ducked out of the way before the object, a boomerang, hit the ground where they were and exploded. Both stood and looked to see Captain Boomerang walk out to see them.

"G'day mates." He said in his Australian accent, arming both hands with boomerangs now.

"You again." Speedy said, arming his bow with an arrow. "Good. We still didn't finish our last dance."

"That we didn't." Boomerang said, seeing Green Arrow also arm his bow. "But there's one too many on the floor here. That's why I brought a new partner for you." Suddenly from the trees behind Killer Frost appeared, ginning and ready to fight. "So how 'bout my lady friend here give the young snapper here a go," he indicated Speedy "while the grownups have our little tango."

"Fine by me." Arrow said.

"I'm game." Speedy said, now aiming for Killer Frost now. "Be gentle though...it's not first dance."

With that both Boomerang and Killer Frost fired attacks, making them fire their arrows.

From above in the sky, as Starfire and Hawkgirl kept flying their attention was drawn to the sound of an explosion. They looked to see a cloud of smoke from where it came from.

"The Green Arrow and Speedy are in danger." Starfire said, as she and Hawkgirl stopped to see this.

"Then let's get over there and...AAHHHH!"

Hawkgirl was hit from behind by a bolt of energy, sending her down towards the trees. Starfire looked and saw an all too familiar face hovering towards her.

"Blackfire!" she said, seeing her sister.

"Hello, baby sister." She said, grinning.

"I know this to be the real you now, and not some apparition." As she spoke her eyes flared green.

"Good." BLackfire said, her eyes flaring the dark purple of her starbolts. "Didn't want you to go and wet yourself if that were the case."

Starfire growled before flying towards her sister.

Hawkgirl recovered before landing into the trees. She looked up and saw Blackfire and Starfire zipped around and clash in the air. She readied herself to join the fight but was stopped when something snagged her by the leg. She looked down to see a vine from one of the trees coiled around her ankle. Before she could react, she was pulled down further and then more vines suddenly sprang at her. They coiled around her limbs and held her up in the middle of the trees.

As she looked, a women came walking over onto a large tree vine and looked at her. Her skin was pale green and her hair was long and red. Her lips were just as green as her outfit, which looked like a once piece bathing suit made from leaves and foliage. Her arms and legs were exposed from this costume but she wore green boots and fingerless gloves on them, looking like they matched the suit.

"Well, well, well." She said, looking at Hawkgirl. "Look what we have here."

"Ivy!" Hawkgirl declared, knowing who it was and realizing she had her own fight to handle.

From the Javelin, animal Man and Wonder Girl heard the explosion from before.

"Guess they found trouble." He said.

"Then let us go and help them."

"Neither of you are going anywhere." Someone nearby said.

Both looked to see who it was. One of them was the familiar Billy Numerous, only one of him for now. The other was the one both recognized as the Cheetah. She had the appearance of a woman with cheetah fur all over her body. She wore matching block top and shorts, which had a hole for her long tail behind it. She still hand long red hair of her former self, only it looked more like a mane.

"Cheetah." Wonder Girl said, readying herself at the sight of her foe.

"Well, well," Cheetah began "If it isn't the Wonder Scout. I was hoping to run into a real Amazonian, but you'll do."

"You keep away from her." Animal Man said, standing at Wonder Girl's defense.

"No." she said to him "I can deal with her. You take the other."

He looked at her, seeing how serious she was and turned his attention to Numerous.

Cheetah went on all fours before running at Winder Girl. She only stood and waited until Cheetah jumped with her claws aiming to swipe at her. She blocked with her bracelets and was forced to take steps back as she kept blocking one swipe after another.

Billy Numerous looked at Animal Man and smirked before making at least ten copies of himself to surround him.

"Think you can take us all on your own, gramps?" one of them said.

Animal Man only smiled and said "I just think this is going to be too short."

Suddenly he rushed over and slammed into three of the copies, sending them flying. He turned to the others who looked in surprise at this.

"Strength of a T-Rex." He said. "And that's just my first shot." He cracked his knuckles and said "Next?"

Batman and Batgirl were still investigating when they heard the explosion. They looked to each other and nodded, knowing they needed to investigate. Before they even left the room, one of the window exploded. Batman covered Batgirl with his cape to avoided being hit by and glass. Once they explosion ended, both looked to see Gizmo and Mammoth.

"Look what we got here." Mammoth said. "If it ani't the big bad Batman, and his girly sidekick."

Both Batman and Batgirl looked to each other, smiled and nodded before posing themselves for a fight.

"Let's take these crud-munchers down!" Gizmo said, before firing blasters from his backpack.

They both leapt out of the way, but in different directions. Batgirl rolled away in time before Gizmo kept firing at her. She managed to take cover behind one of the stands as he did. Mammoth looked to Batman and gave a roar before charging at him.

Below, Robin and Cyborg had found their way to the generator room. It was a fairly large room that was dark because the lights were off. Most of the space however was taken up by the large silver generator inside it. Cyborg had wire from it hooked up to his arm and was working on rebooting it when both he and Robin heard a crashing sound up above.

"They're in trouble." Robin said.

"Then let's get them out of it." Cy said, unhooking himself.

Both of them started for the stairs but were stopped by a red blast hit the ceiling above them. Debris started to come down, making them jump away in time before being crushed. Once they recovered Cyborg shone his light over to where the blast came from so he and Robin could see who did it.

Standing there was Red X, who fired the blast, Cheshire and one other figure. He wore a purple suit jacket and matching pants. His inside shirt was green and he wore gloves on his hands. His skin was pale white and his hair was bright green. As he saw Robin he gave a large smile with his bright red lips.

"Surprise, Surprise." He said

Robin recognized him and growled as he said "Joker!"

"Well it sure ain't Catwoman. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
