The Battle at Bald Mountain

Everyone, with the exception of Yen Sid, Minnie and Daisy, was assembled and ready in the throne room.

Those off to Bald Mountain were armored up and armed for battle, with some minor exceptions. Only the Fairy Aunts, Tinkerbell and the Fairy Godmother were not armored like the others. Mickey had two of his finest blades ready on his belt. Goofy was equipped with two of the hardest and finest shields that could be forged. Donald still had most of his normal clothing and wand, only the robes were longer and the hat more pointy at the top. Taran was given light armor and had a scabbard made to hold his great magic sword. Those like the three dwarves, Gurgi, Naveen, Peter Pan and Timon were given breastplates to at least cover their bodies and yet still be able to move freely. The dwarves had their own pickaxes handy  while Peter had a belt of sharpened daggers and one long sword added to his arsenal. Simba, Pumba and even Pegasus had somewhat similar armor, all covering their underbellies and backs  and having protection around their heads, only Pumba also had armored caps on the end of his tusks. The only things added to Hercules were a helmet, shield and long sword matching Greek design and similar to the ones he’d had back in his world fighting Maleficent. Aladdin’s armor was a mix of the robes he wore as a prince and a chest plate and shoulder pads added on. He also had a long scimitar as his main weapon. Genie was comically dressed as a mix between king Arthur and Braveheart while also having hints of Rambo, like war paint under his eyes, and the Terminator, hence the sunglasses he wore. The Fairy Aunts had made a new shield and sword for Philip while also giving him armor like a true knight from his kingdom, all clad in silver and yet light enough to move swift. Eric was given armor and a sword and shield as well, only his had designs that seemed aquatic like the mermaid kingdom of Atlantica that Ariel came from. All Stitch felt he needed was a helmet that was a little too big for his head.

As they all kept making sure their armor was secured as their weapons, their loved ones nearby to be ready to see them off, Mickey looked around and said “Alright. Is everybody here?”

“Not everyone.” Chip, who was amongst the group, said. “Belle and the master aren’t here yet.”

“He didn’t get cold feet, did he?” Peter asked.

“Of course not.” Goofy said, almost defending Adam. “He’s was just having trouble getting his armor on his all, and Belle was helping him.”

Aladdin nodded while saying “Makes sense when you need to fit that big guy.”

“Well I hope he doesn’t take too long.” Eric said. “We’ve got to get--”

Before he could finish the doors to the throne room opened. All looked as Belle was the first to come through. And then they saw a sight that made some gasp, others stare, and the others look amazed. Adam was dressed in a massive armor to cover his entire chest. He wore metal braces on his wrists  and had a helmet custom made to fit around his horns and face. This, along with his cape sticking out in the back, added the full effect of showing off Adam as a fully armed beast ready for battle.

As Adam came closer to the group, ignoring the looks on their faces, he simple said “ It’s a little tight.” while checking the straps to the armor on his arms.

Mickey nodded to himself seeing they were all here before addressing everyone with “Okay. Everybody knows our plan, right?”

“We split into two teams.” Hercules said first. “One goes right for the fortress to keep the villains occupied.”

“While the other infiltrates through the secret entrance and tries to find Alice.” Naveen added.

Taran was the one to finish with “And the stop the Horned King permanently.” While looking down at his sword.

“Exactly.” Mickey said. He sighed a bit before saying “I won’t lie to you. This may be the toughest fight any of us will ever face. ....this may be the last time we--”

Philip cut him off when he said “We all know the risks. And considering what it means if we don’t go, I think none of us are backing down at this point.”

One look over the crowd, seeing some nodding and others simply looking in agreement showed Mickey that Philip was right. It made him smile a bit to know that everyone assembled was willing to do what was needed for the good of all.

Suddenly someone coming into the room said “Just remember *cough* not to throw away your lives willingly.” As Yen Sid was helped into the room by Daisy and Minnie he said “There’s a difference between heroic sacrifice *cough* and just making *cough* a fool of yourself.”

Mickey rushed over and took Daisy’s place as he and Minnie helped bring Yen Sid over to the throne. Once he was sitting down Yen Sid slumped a little and took deep breaths, making everyone look concerned to his condition.

When Mickey asked if he was ready for this, Yen Sid smiled and replied “I doubt anyone is ready for something like this. But I wouldn’t miss this for anything.” After Mickey nodded Yen Sid looked to everyone and said “I suggest you say what words you have to.” He then looked over and said “Donald. May I speak with you?”

While everyone else started saying their goodbyes to their loved one Donald walked up to his right and said “Yes, master?”

Yen Sid smiled a bit as he said “You’ve been a wonderful apprentice, Donald.” He leaned in a bit and whispered “And don’t let his majesty know, but you may be a tad more talented than him.” This made Donald give a bashful chuckle. “Which is why I’ve name you my successor.”

This made Donald stop and looked surprised at the sorcerer. “But...but Master, you--”

“I can’t keep the title of head Mage forever, Donald.” He cut him off. He coughed a little before continuing with “But I’d be happier knowing I left it in the right hands.”

Donald seemed like he was trying to say something but he finally stopped himself and said “I understand, Master Yen Sid.”

“Good.” He said. “Now I think someone wants to talk with you.”

Yen Sid pointed behind Donald where Daisy was waiting to speak with him. The duck wizard took a deep breath before turning around and walking to her.

“You’ll be alright, won’t you?” she asked when he came close.

Donald sighed and aid “I hope so, Daisy. I really do.”

Without another word she grabbed him by the shoulders and brought both their beaks together. Goofy, who was nearby, only laughed a little as he cover his mouth watching the two kiss. When they were done Donald looked half-dazed and half-hypnotized. The only thing he could do was give out one of his own little laughs.

Among everyone saying farewell was Cinderella and he Godmother, who said “I’ll be fine, dearie. I’ll stay with the other team long enough to get my wand.”

Cinderella nodded and said “Take care of yourself.”

She huffed and said “I’ll be needed to watch these boys more than myself.” Both giggled a bit aft this.

Snow White was giving farewell kisses to the three dwarves, Dopey still trying to get one on the lips before she gave it on the top of his head. Jasmine said goodbye to Aladdin, Genie and carpet while her fingers rubbed the ring on her finger. Tiana and Naveen exchanged one last kiss. Belle and Adam held their hands tight as they said goodbye before Adam patted Chip on the head, saying he would need to watch out for Belle while he was gone. Hercules and Pegasus said bye to Meg and Phil. He giving Herc last minute advice and reminding him the rules of a hero to keep in mind.

Eric kissed Ariel goodbye before saying “I’ll come back.” He then held his hand over her stomach and said “To both of you.” Making her nod before needed to be helped into her custom tub again by the broom servants.

Eilonwey and Taran stood with each other as she said “Remember what I said.”

“I will.” He answered.

“And keep an eye on Gurgi.”

“I will.”

“And don’t lose that sword.”

“I won’t.”

“And don’t...don’t get--”

He stopped her by kissing her on the lips before saying “I won’t.”

Mickey and Minnie gave each one final kiss as he said “You’ll take care of the kingdom while I’m gone, right?”

“Of course I will.” She said. “Just take care of the others.”

“Of course I will.” He chuckled a bit. Both looked over to Yen Sid, who nodded, before Mickey said to her “I love you, Minnie.”

“And I love you, Mickey.” Before sharing another quick kiss.

With that Mickey stood in front of the group, which was in front of the throne where Yen Sid was, and said “Alright everyone. This is it.” He turned and said “Now, Master Yen Sid.”

Those not going stood back in a group as the others all stood ready to embark on their battle. The wizard picked himself up from the chair and stood as strong as he could before taking a few more breaths. He held out his hands and recited the portal spell.

“Vi lignum sanguine soluta iubeo. Aperi Bald Mountain!”

The portal opened in front of the group, large enough for all to step in. But then something odd happened, Something that shouldn’t have happened. A powerful force of wind came from the portal. Not to blow them back but to force them in.

“What’s going on?” Naveen shouted.

“It must be the Horned King!” Simba said back. “It’s a trap!”

The heroes try to stand their ground before the dwarves were the first to fly through. One by one others went flying through, some trying to hold onto others before both eventually went through. When the last of them were starting to get pulled through. As the let were pulled through Chip, who was still with the others who weren’t going, found himself being pulled towards it despite him fighting to stay back.

Belle let out a loud shout “CHIP!” as she saw him going closer and closer.

“I got him!” Cinderella said as she ran forward and picked him up.

Gus and Jauq ran forward as they saw both suddenly caught in the force of the portal, Jauq screaming “Who got you, Cinderelli!”

“We got you! We got you!” Gus said as they both grabbed hold of her foot to try and pull her back.

With her last action, Cinderella tossed Chip to Belle, saying “Quick! Catch him!” which she did.

With that Cinderella, Jauq and Gus were all pulled into the portal just before it finally closed. Everyone who was still in the throne room tried to relax after the sudden sensation.

“Oh, Chip.” Belle said, hugging him close. “I was so worried.”

“We lost Cinderella and the mice!” Snow White exclaimed.

Minnie looked to Yen Sid and said “Master, you need to--”

Before she could finish she saw as he was collapsed back on the throne and looking weaker than ever. She rushed over to him, Daisy following, before holding his hand tight when she saw how much older he seemed to be. The effects from the portal were taking more a toll than she thought.

“I am...sorry...Queen Minnie.” Yen Sid weakly answered. “I cannot....open another portal....without risking my life....and they may need that one chance.....in order...to return.”

Overhearing this Ariel said “So I guess that means....”

“She stuck there.” Tiana finished. “Just like the rest of them.”

********************

As they all recovered, Mickey asked “Is everyone alright?”

He looked back to see everyone getting to their feet or helping someone else up. Among them was Cinderella who, after explaining what happened, was to be folded in with the second group to sneak into the castle to avoid being in battle.

“As good as we can be, I guess.” Aladdin answered. “What the heck was that?”

“Some sort of spell.” Adam suggested. “The Horned King wanted to make sure we all came through and had no way back.”

“What do you mean?” Eric asked. “What About Yen Sid?”

“If he uses that spell one more time that could be it for him.” Donald explained.
Goofy was the one to finish with “So if he does need to use it, it won’t be until we’ve got the job here done.”

It was then that the heroes actually took a moment to look at their surroundings. The area was barren and dark, both from above and the ground itself had darker shades that what would seem normal. Clouds covered the sky and small claps of thunder could be heard nearly every thirty seconds. Further ahead of them was what looked like the remains of a small village. The few standing houses were all but a ruin, the only thing intact enough was the large cemetery that covered most of the surrounding area in the village. Beyond that was what must’ve been the fortress Yen Sid mentioned.  Then they saw the mountain. The large black rock spiral that grew from the earth and nearly touched the heaven. For some it was hard to see the peak of it.

“Cheery looking place.” Genie said. “Not somewhere I’d get a summer house, but still.”

Jauq and Gus coward so much that Cinderella put them both in the pockets of her dress for safety. Gurgi and Stitch held each other in fear of how foreboding it all looked. Tinkerbell hid behind Peter for safety from even looking at it. Even Hercules had to calm Pegasus as he seemed too nervous to go forward.

“If a trap was set then the Horned King knows we’re coming.” Taran realized.

“So what do we do now?” Grumpy asked.

They all looked to Mickey who looked back between them and the fortress for a few seconds before saying “We stick with the plan. If we keep them distracted long enough the other team can get inside. Hopefully you won’t run into any trouble.”

“And if we find this girl, Alice, what’s next?” The Fairy Godmother asked.

“Aside from stopping the Horned King, you mean?” Peter Pan said.

“Peter’s right.” Philip said. “We end this one way or another.”

Mickey nodded before saying “Alright then. Let’s go!”

The secondary team consisted of The Fairy Godmother, and now Cinderella as well, the three dwarves, Naveen, Timon and Pumba, Gurgi and finally Stitch. After they split from the larger group, everyone saying their “good lucks” to who they needed to, the main group all began to make their way towards the fortress.

The main team came right to the graveyard of the village, which was in front of the fortress doors, keeping low and making sure not to be seen by anyone that might be patrolling. They could see the door leading to the inside of the fortress where a sort of courtyard was. All waited for Mickey’s signal as he didn’t see any signs they were noticed yet.

“NOW!” he sounded, making all the heroes charge forward.

Adam was able to smash down the door with a few heavy knocks before they all came rushing into the courtyard.  They soon stopped when they saw no one was around. The courtyard was very large and there was a small balcony above a second door on the opposite side of where they’d entered.

Goofy was the one to say “Uh-oh. I think we’ve fallen into another ones of those things you’re not supposed to fall into.”

“You mean a trap?” Donald asked.

“Yeah. That’s it.”

Just as soon as he finished saying it a steel door, not wooden like the one they’d broken down, closed behind them. They were trapped. A sudden sound of laughter made them look up to the balcony where Queen Grimhilde revealed herself.

She gave a small clap before saying “Well done, heroes. You’ve found our little hideaway. Here you all are. Like lambs to the slaughter!”

Taran gave an angered “Where’s the Horned King?”

“Oh he’s busy.” The voice of Hades said before he appeared next to Grimhilde. “Guys got to put his face on and, believe me, he needs all the time he can get to fix that mug up.”

“So I guess that makes you all the welcoming party.” Aladdin gave a snarky remark. “Kind of a shame when you’re all powerful leader can’t even face up to us.”

“I’d be careful what you say, street rat!” Jafar said as he suddenly appeared to the other side of Grimhilde. “The Horned King’s powers are beyond anything you can stand against. But even that is nothing compared to what he has in store for all of you.”

“And what’s that?” Peter asked.

“Now, now.” Lady Tremaine said as she came next to Jafar and stood among the others, the magic wand in her hand. “We can’t spoil that now can we?”

“Instead, why don’t we give you the welcome you deserve!” Gimrhildea said before snapping her fingers.

The doorway in front of the heroes opened up. From it stepped Maleficent, who was smirking the whole time as she came from the darkness. She was accompanied by Scar, the hyenas, Pete, Ursula, Captain Hook and a small army of his pirate crew.

It was then that Flora said “My goodness. This isn’t a courtyard. It’s....an arena.”

As all stood ready to fight, Simba heard his uncle say “Simba. My adorable nephew. So good to see you again.”

“Scar!” He nearly hissed with anger.

“By the way,” he continued. “daddy says hi.”

Simba nearly pounced on him then and there before Adam held him back. There were similar tensions as Philip and the fairy aunts looked to Maleficent, Peter to Hook, Eric to Ursula and Goofy and Donald to Pete.

Mickey looked up to Grimhilde and said “Queen Grimhilde, this doesn’t have to end like this. “You can walk away from this. All of you can walk away. You can’t trust the Horned King.”

As the villains were silent for a moment Hades said “You know the mouse might be right.” Making them all look to him. He finished however with “But I’m thinking we’re better off with him then you sorry losers.”

He, and most of the other villains, laughed at this before Grimhilde said “Now finish them off!”

The heroes looked as the villains within the arena with them all looked ready to fight. Maleficent made those nearby make room before she used her magic to turn into a dragon right in front of them. To some this did not phase them, while for others it was an intimidating sight.

Mickey looked back seeing that as scared as they might have been, all the heroes with him stood their ground. They’d face against the odds before, now they all stood together as a force to be reckoned with. Taran and Mickey looked at each other before nodding and looking back to the villains.

With both swords drawn now, Mickey gave the battle cry “CHARGE!”

Genie only added to it by shouting “WOLVERINES!”

There was a roar from both sides before they charged towards each other, some louder than others. Each force ran with all their strengths, and those of those that stood with them, into battle. Within less than a moment they’d met and the Battle at Bald Mountain had truly begun.

********************

The second team reached the secret entrance on the outside of the fortress.

Behind the dead remains of a few bushes, against the stone walls of the fortress was an stone that stood out from the others. A quick push against it opened a hidden door nearby made of more stone and cut out in a circular shape. They all hurried through before being spotted by anyone just before closing it behind them. They’d found their way into the dungeon where all the empty cells were.

As they walked on, going down one hall or turning one corner after another, Timon asked “Are we there yet? This place seems to go on forever.”

“I’m not sure.” Cinderella said, taking the lead for the moment. “She’s got to be in one of these cells though.”

Gurgi stopped, as the rest of the group did, and turned to Stitch saying “Stitch. Try sniffing her out. You got good nose, right?”

Stitch seemed to take some pride in this as he said “Watch and learn.” Before putting his nose to the ground and sniffing all around. He circled the group once as he tried to pick up a scent  before saying “Found something.” He started running off as he called “This way!” making the rest follow.

They all rushed after him, keeping close together, before coming to one turn where Stitch bumped into someone. He fell back just as the others came around the corner. They all saw who he’d bumped into. It was Le Fou, along with Iago flying nearby.

When all recovered everyone, on both sides, pointed and declared “YOU!”

“How the heck did you get in here?” Iago said while Le Fou backed away a little.

“I know you two.” Naveen said. “I read about you from the Book of Legends. You work for Jafar and Gaston.”

“Hey!” Pumba said “That’s the guy who tried to shoot us!”

“And mount our heads on a wall.” Timon added.

The two looked at each other before trying to run away, only to be cut off by Stitch and Gurgi who’d managed to get behind them in time before they could run. Stitch snarled like a dog before Le Fou and Iago realized they were surrounded.

“So why aren’t you two with the rest of the bad guys?” Sneezy asked, brandishing his pickaxe like Grumpy and Dopey did.

A sudden shudder and loud bang could be heard from outside, making Iago say “Are you kidding? You think we want to be in the middle of that?” pointing up.

“We were trying to make a break for it while everyone was busy.” Le Fou continued. “No way we were sticking around if the Horned King’s plans went bad.”

“And what exactly is he planning?” Cinderella asked.

“No idea.” Iago said. “He never told us.”

“He never told anyone.” Le Fou kept continued. “He just acted all crazy....well more crazy, when he and the rest of them didn’t kill you guys. Then he starts acting confident and talking about some secret weapon he had ready for you when you showed up.”

All the heroes looked amongst each other, all looking worried by this news. They had to act fast.

Grumpy pointed his pickaxe at them and said “Where’s Alice?”

Le Fou spoke first, saying “How did you--?” before the question was demanded again by the dwarf.

“She-she’s in a cell.” Iago said. “Just down that way.” He pointed.

“Show us.” Naveen said, making Grumpy and Sneezy push both of them forward to lead.

Stitch and Gurgi still stayed at the front while the two lead on, making sure they couldn’t escape. As they traveled onward the group could still hear the sounds of battle going on from above.

********************

The heroes and villains battled harder than ever before.

Mickey and Pete were battling one-on-one, the large cat starting to show his true skills against the mouse. Peter and Hook clashed with their swords while the pirates took on Adam, Aladdin, Eric and even Pegasus. Hercules, Philip and the Fairy Aunts dealt with the dragon Maleficent, using shields to block and swinging their sword when they had an opening while the Fairies fired spells at her. Tinkerbell and the magic carpet zipped all over the place, helping as best they could. Simba battled with the hyenas, proving more durable against all three with his armor helping him. And Donald, Goofy and Taran found themselves against Ursula who was armed with a sword in nearly every tentacle.

From above Grimhilde and the others watched enthusiastically. Hades even had a bag of popcorn he ate while watching the dragon fighting.

When he saw he use her tail to knock some of the nearby heroes away he called out “That’s it, scaly bum! I love watching you work!”

Suddenly Genie zipped in front of all of them, floating in front of the balcony, and said “Say hello to my little friend!” as he used his finger like a magic gun and firing a volley of blasts at them.

While some of them ducked Grimhilde only held her hand out before creating a magic barrier with the power provided from the Horned King. The blasts from Genie dissolved into the barrier before he stopped and she dropped it, only smirking as the others looked to see this.

Genie, looking very awkward from this, said “Well....that’s new.”

“Face it, blue boy.” Jafar said, his hand charging for a magical blast. “You’re only second rate!”

Genie flew as fast he could away before Jafar’s blast hit him on the back. Genie turned into the shape of a plane as he began falling to the ground.

“Mayday! Mayday!” he shouted like an air pilot. “We’re going down!”

As he started to crash Eric and Aladdin saw him coming towards them and jumped out of the way. The pirates who were still in the way were slammed against a nearby wall as Genie cashed into them. They rushed over to see them all in a pile, Genie on top and his head spinning, before Aladdin asked if he was okay.

“Thank you for flying Broken Bone Airways.” He dizzily said. “The current time is half past ouch.”

As the battle continued on Pete managed to knock Mickey down and grab one of his swords. He pointed it at him and said “Ha! Looks like is all over for you, runt.” as he was about to swing it. Suddenly Tinkerbell flew in his face and started zipping around and blinding him with her fairy dust. He tried to swat her away while saying “Get away from me, you stinking little pixie!” When she was finally gone he looked back to see Mickey had disappeared.

“Hey Pete.” Mickey said from behind. Once Pete looked he said “You might want to duck.”

Before he could ask what he meant by it, Pete saw the magic carpet speeding toward him. He didn’t have time to duck before it smacked him right in the face, making him drop the sword right back into Mickey’s hand. The carpet zipped back to Mickey and the two high-fived before returning to battle.

Back on the balcony Drizzella joined her mother and the others. Seeing this, Lady Tremaine looked and asked “Where’s Anastasia?”

“Who cares?” her daughter answered. “This is just too exciting to miss.”

She didn’t ask any further before looking back to the battle, keeping her grip tighter around the magic wand.

********************

The heroes, plus Iago and Le Fou, finally came to the cell where Alice was supposed to be.
Once they opened the door however...

“What?” both Iago and Le Fou said together.

The heroes looked to them, some folding their arms and looking a bit annoyed, before Naveen said “Well? Where is she?”

“She was supposed to be in here!” Iago said.

“Maybe she escape?” Gurgi suggested.

“No way she could’ve.” Le Fou said next. “It was locked.”

“Then where’d she go?” Grumpy asked as he and some of the others looked more aggressive towards them.

Suddenly someone said “They took her out and brought her up to the main room.” Everyone looked as Anastasia came walking out from the darkness. “The Horned King was doing...something to her.”

Cinderella, a bit surprised to see her, walked up and asked “Is she still there?” Seeing her a bit hesitant to answer, Cinderella nearly shouted “Tell us.”

“I...I think so.” She finally answered, looking almost scared now. “But I don’t know if the Horned King’s still with her or not.”

“We’ll have to take that chance.” Naveen said. “We need to get up there now.”

“Wait.” Cinderella said before looking back to her step-sister. “Why are you helping?”

Anastasia looked her in the eye, still looking reluctant to ask, before finally saying “I...I don’t like this anymore than they do.” She pointed to Iago and Le Fou. “I just wanted to be with the prince...but I never thought it meant doing all this. Hurting people.” She looked to the dwarves. “I....I don’t want to be a villain. I don’t want to be remember as just the ‘ugly’ step-sister.”

Le Fou walked over to her and asked “You won’t have to.” He turned back to the others and said “I’m wither her.”

They both looked to Iago, who seemed to high and mighty in the moment, before finally cracking and saying “Oh alright. I was getting tired of working for that jerk Jafar anyways.”

All three of them stood together before Le Fou said “Alright, let’s get up there and save that little girl.”

“Lead the way.” Cinderella said.

“Wait a second.” Timon said. “Are you sure we can trust them? Any of them?”

Cinderella looked back to Anastasia, who almost looked nervous to hear her answer, but she smiled a bit and said “She’s my sister. Of course I trust her.”

Anastasia smiled at this just as much as her sister did. She gave her a quick and hardy hug, making the Fairy Godmother nod with a smile.

“Alright. Alright. Iago said “Enough with the sappy stuff. I’m losing my feathers as it is.”

He flew ahead of the group, making all following him up to the rest of the fortress and hopefully to where they would find Alice.

********************

As the battle continued on Taran was tripped by one of Ursula’s free tentacles that snagged his leg from behind and pulled him down.

He fell on his front and dropped his sword. Before he could reach it Ursula picked it up and laughed as she pointed it, along with the other weapons she had, at him.

“Maybe now you’ll get the POINT, junior.” She joked. “Never get into a fight with someone who has more swords than you.”

He back up a bit before smirking and saying “I don’t think that counts when the sword you have is magic.”

Before she knew it Taran’s sword seemed to take a life of its own, thrashing around in her grip. Ursula held it and tried to control it but the force from the sword seemed more powerful, even to the point of swinging around and knocking the other swords out of her tentacles. It finally spun her around fast enough that when she let go Ursula was like a speeding top. She flew back into the wall behind while the sword floated back into Taran’s hand.

Suddenly Goofy shouted “Look out!” as he jumped in front of Taran with his shield raised.

He managed to block a blast from the magic wand that Lady Tremaine fired from the balcony. Seeing this Taran threw his sword, which seemed to skyrocket towards her, managed her duck before it could hit; Drizzella had done the same. Jafar tried to grab the sword but it had already zipped back to Taran.

When Tremain recovered and stood and realized “The wand! Where is it?” They all looked around before Drizzella pointed to where it landed: all the way down on the ground below them “NO!” she screamed. She shouted to some of the nearby pirates “One of you fools get that wand!”

Three of them looked and rushed over to grab it but they were too late since Tinkerbell managed to fly down and pick it up. She flew up as they tried to jump up and catch her but she was too far away. She turned back and stuck her tongue out at Tremaine and the others before flying to Taran.

Tremaine let out a screaming “No! I want that wand! It’s mine!”

Tinkerbell dropped it to Taran who caught it and said “Nice work, Tink.” For once getting an approving look from her.

As Tremaine fell to her knees, frustrated and feeling defeat, Grimhilde only huffed and said “Someone’s lost their usefulness.” Making both her and Drizzella look nervously at this.

Before Taran, Tink and Goofy could celebrate, they all ducked away when Maleficent breathed her fire towards them. Seeing she missed she was about to again before feeling a hit to her back. She turned to see Philip and Hercules attacking her from behind. She swung her tail, managing to knock Herc away, before fully turning to Philip. He held us his shield as she breathed her fire and protected himself. She was ready to stomp him with her large reptilian foot but the Fairy Aunts zipped in and fired more spells at her.

“Pick on someone your own size!” Merryweather shouted as she attacked.

Maleficent reacted more out of annoyance than pain as she breath her fired towards them, making the three scatter.  Philip took the chance and stabbed his sword right into her left claw, making her giving a roaring scream. Before Philip could make another effective blow Maleficent swatted him away with her other claw. He landed not too far away but dropped his shield and sword in the process. He recovered and tried to make for the blade but Maleficent cut him off, now having him right in front of her and unprotected.

She gave a low hiss with her tongue before she spoke to him, her normal voice augmented by the sound of a monster, and growled “You don’t get to save the day this time, little prince.”

Philip back up a bit but didn’t show any sign of fear when he said “You may be right. Perhaps I won’t. But then again...” he pointed behind her and said “...he might.”

Just as Maleficent looked back, Adam came charging towards her, roaring as he did, and leapt up to her head. He managed to grapple his arms around her snout, keeping it shut, while using one of his free hand to start pounding on her head. While the dragon was busy taking hits from the armored beast Philip picked up his sword and waited for the right moment.

Just as Maleficent managed to toss Adam off her, he landing on his feet, she didn’t have time to react as Philip charged forward and plunged his sword deep into her. She let out a roar of pain that mixed with a scream as he pushed it further and further in. When he finally let go and stood back Maleficent withered and screamed until nothing was left but a rags with a sword run through them.

There was a cheer from some of the heroes while Hades only looked both shocked and depressed by this. He slumped up against the nearest wall and said “Dang....I never even got an address.”

Philip picked up a nearby sword and rejoined Adam before saying “Thank you, Beast.”
He growled at him while saying “It’s Adam.”

Philip recoiled a bit and said “Sorry....Adam.” making him only give a small huff of approval.

They both heard Donald call out “What are you two standing around for? We got a fight to win!” making them nod to each other before rushing in to take care of the remaining villain forces.

********************

The heroes, now including the defected villains, all made it to the front doors leading into the main room where Alice was supposed to be.

They all stood to the sides of the door as Stitch shushed them before peeking in first. He could see the large table where the villains had sat was empty. At the very end of the room was the large window overlooking the outside and in front of it the Horned King’s throne. There, sitting on the throne with her wrists and ankles tied together, was Alice. She looked asleep since her eyes were closed and she was leaning to the side of the chair.

“Horned King not there.” Stitch said. “But I see Alice.”

Cinderella nodded before telling the others “Come on.” making the all sneak into the room.

They all carefully made their way towards Alice before reaching her. Some stayed behind and watched the doorways while the others were near the chair she was in.

“Let’s get these off.” Naveen said to Gurgi as they both started to untie her.

Cinderella, meanwhile, shook her a little and said “Alice? Alice, are you alright?”

Once her bonds were undone Alice opened her eyes. She looked up and saw everyone before smiling a bit, which made them smile as well.

Suddenly her smile turned into a wicked grin before she declared “Gotcha!” but not in her voice.

Everyone looked shocked  and backed away before Alice stood up and split into two separate pieces, dividing at the waist. They were more shocked when both pieces turned into Pain and Panic who were laughing at the trick they pulled.

“What the!?!” Timon said surprised before the doors to the room burst open.

None of the heroes, or the three villains turned good, ha time to react before all were sized by living shadows that held them by their own and forced them to the ground and in a group. They heard laughter from behind and looked back to see Facilier and Gaston walking into the room.

“Well, well, well.” Facilier smirked at the all came closer to their hostages. “Look what we have here. A rescue party. And a couple of turncoats to boot.”

“This was just another trap!” Grumpy said. He looked Le Fou and the others and said “You lead us into it!”

“No! We didn’t know.” Anastasia said. “Honest.”

“Believe it or not, short round, they’re telling the truth.” Facilier said to Grumpy, making him look back to see his face. “Actually we were really sure if the rest of you would show up. It was just for these boys here.” He pointed at Iago and Le Fou.

“What do you mean?” Le Fou asked.

Gaston crossed his arms and said “Don’t try and play dumb, Le Fou. Though to be honest I couldn’t tell if you were. But we knew about the two of you talking about turning your backs on us.” He looked to Anastasia now and said “Didn’t except that from you though, girl. What will your mother say about this?”

While Anastasia looked away from him, seeming guilty in some way, Iago asked “But how the heck do you know?”

In answer both looked to the table and saw as Lucifer, the fat black cat that belonged to Lady Tremaine, came striding down to the end to see all of them. He gave a hissing laugh that made Iago growl and mutter under his breath how he’s rip his tail off and make him eat it.

“The big cat hear sang like a canary.” Facilier said. “He told Scar. Scar told the King. And the King told us...to be ready if you’d try anything like this. And you went right for the bait like a fish to a worm.”

“So...if Alice isn’t here” The Godmother said to herself “then....where is she?”

********************

The heroes were starting to turn the tide of the battle.

The pirates, except for Hook, were all cornered towards the door and cowering. They were surrounded by Herc, Aladdin, Taran and Adam who, making sure they were scared enough, gave a loud roar that made them all run for the door. In such a state of panic they all managed to but through the door and pile over one another and they tried to run as far as they could..

Hook, looking to see this, yelled out “Come back here, you sea dogs! I’ll have all of you walk the plank for this!”

He turned back and realized he was out numbered as Peter, Philip, Mickey and Goofy all came towards him. He gave an awkward laugh as he dropped his sword and backed away.

“Start swimming away now, codfish.” Peter said, making Hook bolt for the entrance like the rest of his men.

“Wait for me!” he shouted before running out.

Simba had managed to beat all three hyenas back towards Scar, who looked shocked and said “Get...get up, you idiots!”

He looked as Simba, some of his armor a bit damaged but still looking ready to fight, came towards him and said “All alone again, Scar. Still think this was the best idea?”

He backed up, as did the hyenas, and found himself back into the side of the arena right under the balcony where Pete and Ursula were also. All were backed into a group as the heroes surrounded them.

“Give up?” Mickey asked sarcastically.

“Please say no.” Herc said in the same manner.

Hades, overlooking the situation, clapped his hands once an said “Well this was fun while it lasted. Now if you’ll excuse me...”

He started walking off before Grimhilde shouted “Where do you think you’re going?”

“In case you haven’t noticed we’re on the short end of the stick here.” He said. “So I’m getting while the getting’s good.”

“You dare turn your back on the Horned King?” Jafar said “Coward!”

“Yeah well......you’re beard’s stringy.” Hades said, almost childishly. “Anyone else wants to catch the next boat out of here, come with me.”

Both Grimhilde and Jafar looked to Tremiane and Drizzella. They both looked to each other before she took her daughters wrist and pulled her along. She walked towards Hades before both walked away and out of the room.

Angered, Jafar slammed his staff on the ground saying “Enough of this!” He began to change into his larger genie form, his skin turning red and his eyes growing yellow, as he said “You insolent fools cannot defeat me! I am the most powerful being in this, or any other world!”

“Oh yeah?” Aladdin said. “Then how come you’re taking orders from the Horned King?”

Jafar, now fully looking like a genie and hovering in front of the balcony, growled and declared “I will end you, street rat!”

Aladdin only stood more defiant as he said “Then go on. Hit me with your best!”

Some of the others heroes were about to pull Aladdin out of the way but Mickey and Genie stopped them, only telling them to watch. Jafar finally fired a bolt of magic at Aladdin. He laughed as Aladdin didn’t move and he was sure it would kill him. However the bolt simply fizzled out right in front of Aladdin’s face.

“WHAT?!?” Jafar shouted.

“Don’t you know the rules yet, Jafar?” Aladdin kept going on. “A genie can’t make people fall in love. Bring people back from the dead. And, my favorite, kill anyone.”

Adam spoke next asking “But...what about what he did to me?”

The Genie zipped over to him and explained “From the sounds of it, Chwey, that was more like torture. And he could’ve done that as much as he wanted. But if there was no way the magic could’ve killed you. He couldn’t kill you anymore than Nickelback killed rock and roll.”

Jafar looked more worried now before Taran said to him and the other villains “Looks like you’re all out of tricks.”

Eric pointed his sword at Grimhilde, the only one left, and said “You might want to rethinking that surrender we offered you.”

She growled even more and banged her fist on the railing of the balcony before Mickey said “Give up. Grimhilde. It’s over now.”

There came a sudden laugh from above and the Horned King’s voice said “It’s far from over.” They all looked to see him emerge from the roof above the balcony, just as he said “Not while I have anything to say about it.”

The heroes all looked ready to fight again before Taran shouted up “You’re already beaten.” He held up the sword and said “I have the one thing that can beat you. You’re men are lost or running away. You have nothing left.

“Wrong, pig boy.” He said. “I still have one final weapon.” Seeing the heroes all look around or still looking towards him, the King’s eyes blazed red with glee for a moment before he stood aside and said “And here she is.”

The heroes all looked horrified as they saw who it was, Mickey giving a breathless “.....Alice.”

It was indeed Alice, only not herself. It was her eyes that were different. They had a coloring of green to and yellow to them, making her look sinister. She had a angered, almost frozen, look to her as she stood next to the Horned King.

Seeing this Fauna gasped and said “No.”

Merryweather gave an infuriated “Monster! What have you done to her?”

“An education in how to properly use her power.” He said.

“Power?” Adam asked. “What power? She’s just an innocent girl.”

“You’re all fools to think she’s just an ordinary girl.” The King began. He looked at Mickey before continuing with “Do you know what’s the oddest thing about the world this girl comes from? The fact that nothing was special about it until Wonderland came to be. But the strangest thing I found when reading her story was that everything she’d imagined, everything she dreamed, came into existence. Even I could not ignore that odd fact. Then I remembered the notes I’d seen on Yen Sid’s desk when I first came to your world, the notes regarding the ‘Alpha Beings’ as they’re called. And that’s when I realized: it was not just coincidence that Wonderland was similar to young Alice’s imaginations, it was formed from it.”

The sudden realization hit Mickey like a ton of bricks, making his eyes go wide as he finally said “She.....she’s an Alpha Being.”

“Not just any!” The Horned King declared. “She is one of the most powerful in all of existence! Her powers allow her to bend reality. Create and change worlds! And now it belongs to me. I’ll be able to use use her ability to recreate all the worlds in my own image. I will be like a god! But first...” he kneeled down next to Alice, putting his hands on her shoulders, and said “Alice, dear, show them how strong you can be.”

Alice seemed to focus her eyes, making the heroes back up, before the villains who were still in the arena, Pete, Scar, Ursula and the hyenas, all began to change. Ursula slowly grew and grew until she was a giant like she was before when she wielded the powers of the trident.  Pete grew taller and more muscular, looking like a human, or cat, tank. Scar grew just as the hyenas did, all becoming nearly as big as Pete and their teeth and claws becoming more sharpened or gnarly.  They all laughed as Jafar joined them in standing above the heroes like monstrous towers.

“Retreat!” Eric shouted, making all of the make for the doorway.

Before they could reach it the ground in front of them rose up into tall spires that looked almost like claws. They cut the heroes off from escaping and they realized this was more of Alice’s corrupted powers at work.

“Not this time, heroes.” The Horned King said. “You don’t get to save the day or live happily ever after. THIS IS THE STORY WHERE HEROES DIE!”
I own nothing. All characters and so on belong to the respective owners at Disney.

Note: I really like it when you have some villains who turn over a new leaf, and I remember from the sequel movies that Iago and Anastasia, sort of, did just that. I added Le Fou in because I felt he needed a bit of justice done for himself after dealing with Gaston the whole time. And sorry to any Nickleback fans for the joke ^^; .

Oh, everybody in these comments keep saying "I didn't see that coming" about the Alice twist. Well, I did ! Not entirely, but I had already understood that the cause of the Horned King's interest in Alice was her ability to control Wonderland.
